Discover the art of songwriting and recording in this engaging four-week course designed for music enthusiasts aged 15 and over. Whether you're a budding songwriter or looking to polish your skills, this workshop offers a supportive environment to learn and create.
Experienced music staff will guide you through the essentials of song structure, harmonic and melodic techniques, and basic recording practices. You'll have the opportunity to write your own song and record a demo, gaining practical experience in music production.
This course is perfect for adults and youth who want to explore their creativity and develop their musical talents in a friendly, hands-on setting.
The course runs once a week over four weeks, with each session lasting two hours from 17:00 to 19:00. The first session begins on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Participants are encouraged to book early as spaces are limited to ensure a quality learning experience. Please book one ticket per attendee.
Photography and videography may be taken during the sessions for promotional purposes by the City of Swan and event organisers.
