Step into the enchanting world of Hornsby Park as the sun sets and the bushland transforms into a vibrant, mysterious landscape. This guided 1.5-hour twilight walk covers 1km through the historic Crusher Plant Precinct, revealing a side of nature that comes alive after dark.
Discover fascinating nocturnal wildlife with the help of an expert guide who will introduce you to the creatures active at dusk. Celebrate International Bat Appreciation Day with a unique opportunity to listen to local microbats using a bat detector, translating their ultrasonic calls into sounds we can hear.
This walk is perfect for families and nature lovers eager to explore the bush in a new light and enjoy a peaceful yet intriguing outdoor adventure.
The walk is graded 2.5, ranging from easy to slightly challenging, suitable for all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and while younger children may find some parts tough, the experience is designed to be inclusive and engaging.
Please note that the walk is not suitable for those with impaired mobility, including wheelchair users, walkers, or prams. Participants should be prepared for uneven terrain and bring suitable footwear.
