Discover essential skills and knowledge for your parenting journey with St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba's expert-led classes. Designed for first-time parents and those seeking a refresher, these sessions provide invaluable support during pregnancy and early parenthood.
Join small group classes conducted by experienced midwives covering labour, birth, and early parenting. Choose from a full weekend class or a focused caesarean birth session. Expect detailed guidance on managing labour, birth complications, newborn care, breastfeeding, and emotional wellbeing.
- Labour, birth and early parenting weekend class: Saturday 08:15 to 16:00, Sunday 08:30 to 15:00.
- Caesarean birth and early parenting class: Saturday 08:15 to 16:00.
Topics include induction, emergency caesarean, newborn characteristics, safe sleeping, and community support.
Classes are held at St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba, located at 22-36 Scott St, Toowoomba City QLD 4350. The venue is accessible and welcoming, providing a comfortable environment for learning and support.
Booking one ticket covers attendance for both the parent and their partner/support person. It is recommended to book 4-6 weeks before the due date to ensure timely preparation. If birth plans change, contact the maternity unit to adjust your class accordingly.
