This delightful Storytime session invites children aged 2 to 5 years to explore the magic of storytelling through a mix of engaging stories, lively songs, and interactive activities. It's designed to nurture early literacy skills and boost social confidence in a fun and welcoming environment.
All children aged 12 months and over are welcome, but those under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult or caregiver. The sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for parents and carers to bond with their children while fostering a love of reading.
Please note, Storytime sessions do not run during school holidays, so be sure to check the schedule to plan your visits accordingly.
Each session runs for 30 minutes, starting promptly at 10:30 am and concluding at 11:00 am. The program is held weekly on Wednesdays from 7 October 2026 through 9 December 2026, offering consistent opportunities for children to participate and develop their skills.
Registration is required for every attendee aged 12 months and older to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all participants. This helps the library manage numbers and provide the best environment for the children.
The sessions are free of charge, making it an accessible and valuable resource for families seeking enriching activities for their young children.
Storytime takes place in the Greythorn Library Lounge, located at 2 Centre Way, Balwyn North. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming space designed for children and families.
