What to Expect
Come on down to Storytown, a delightful weekly event designed especially for children aged 3 to 5 years. Each session offers engaging story readings followed by a fun creative activity that sparks imagination and learning. Your little ones will explore a new theme every week, making each visit a fresh and exciting adventure.
Every child attending Storytown receives a special passport that gets stamped at each visit. Collect six stamps and earn a wonderful book prize, encouraging regular attendance and a love of reading. This event is perfect for parents looking to nurture their child's early literacy skills in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Activity Details
Storytown runs every Tuesday from 11:15 to 11:45 AM, starting on 2026-02-24 and continuing weekly until 2026-04-07, except on April 14 and April 21 when the event will not be held. Sessions are free but require booking in advance through Eventbrite, with places strictly limited to ensure a quality experience for all. Each child may attend one session per week across library branches.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in and note that latecomers cannot be admitted. Prams are discouraged due to limited space, and parental supervision is required throughout the session. The event is open to library members, and membership is free and easy to join online or at any branch.
