What to Expect
Each session provides access to golf equipment and professional coaching, making it easy for beginners and those looking to improve their game. You'll enjoy light refreshments and have the option of bilingual support in Mandarin and Korean, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and included.
The sessions are designed to foster community connections among seniors aged 65+ living in the Strathfield LGA, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander seniors aged 50+. Whether you're new to golf or looking to rekindle your passion, this program is perfect for you.
Activity Details
The program runs on the last Monday of each month from May to December 2025, between 10:00 and 11:30 AM. Each session can accommodate up to 20 participants, ensuring personalized attention and a friendly atmosphere.
Booking is essential and opens on the 1st of each month, closing the Friday before the session or when full. Priority is given to Strathfield residents, and family or friends can assist with online registration. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended, and all golf equipment is provided.
Location and Access
Sessions take place at Hudson Park Driving Range, located at 108 Arthur Street, Strathfield 2135. The venue offers a safe and accessible outdoor space ideal for seniors to enjoy golf and the fresh air.
You can easily find the location on the map and plan your visit accordingly. The driving range is well-equipped to support beginners and seasoned players alike.
Important Information
This program is proudly funded by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice through the Connecting Seniors Grant Program. It is designed to be inclusive, with bilingual support available in Mandarin and Korean to assist participants.
Please note that dates are subject to change, so checking the website for updates before attending is recommended. The maximum capacity per session is 20 participants to maintain quality coaching and safety.
Booking and Prices
Participation is completely free, with all equipment and coaching provided at no cost. To join, you must register in advance by filling out the submission form available online.
Bookings open on the 1st of each month and close the Friday before each session or when the session is full. Priority booking is given to residents of Strathfield, and assistance with registration is available if needed.
