What to Expect
Street Art Lab invites young creatives to dive into the vibrant world of street art through a series of engaging workshops. Participants will explore various techniques including aerosol and mural painting, guided by experienced artist mentors. This is a unique chance for youth to express themselves artistically while contributing to the local community’s visual identity.
The program culminates in a collaborative mural painting day where participants bring their designs to life on a large scale. All materials and supplies are provided, so young artists can focus on creativity and skill-building.
Whether your child is a budding artist or simply curious about street art, this workshop series offers a fun, supportive environment to learn and create.
Activity Details
The Street Art Lab series consists of three workshops plus a mural painting day. To participate in the final mural, attendees must join at least two workshops. The upcoming Autumn series will be held in April and May 2026 at Burpengary Community Hall.
Workshops run from 13:00 to 14:30, providing a relaxed afternoon session perfect for school-aged children and teens. Past sessions have included learning aerosol techniques and wheat pasting, ensuring a diverse skill set.
This pilot program is free of charge, making it accessible to all young people eager to explore street art.
Location and Access
All workshops and the mural painting day take place at Burpengary Community Hall, located at 101-121 Station Road, Burpengary 4505. The venue is easily accessible by car and public transport, with parking available on site.
Burpengary Community Hall offers a safe, welcoming space for youth activities and is equipped with all necessary facilities to support creative workshops.
Parents can comfortably drop off and pick up their children, knowing they are in a supportive community environment.
Important Information
Participants must attend at least two of the three workshops to be eligible for the mural painting day. All art materials and protective gear will be provided.
The program is designed for youth and young adults interested in visual arts, particularly street art techniques.
