Discover the vibrant world of street art in this engaging workshop designed for young people aged 12 to 26. Held during the April school holidays, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced artists Oscar Galeano and Maia Cavendish as they share their passion and techniques in public art.
Join a lively and creative atmosphere where you'll explore the basics of calligraffiti with Oscar and wheat-pasting with Maia. The workshop includes hands-on sessions where participants rotate between artists, allowing you to try different street art styles and collaborate on artwork. Expect plenty of friendly conversation and a supportive environment with quiet spaces available for sensory breaks.
This workshop runs on Thursday, 9 April 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00. Each artist leads a 60-minute session, back-to-back, providing a comprehensive introduction to street art techniques. All materials and light snacks are provided, ensuring you can focus on your creativity without any hassle.
The event is held at North Lakes Community Hall, located at 10 The Corso, North Lakes, 4509. The community centre is wheelchair-friendly, featuring lift access from the underground car park, making it accessible for all participants.
This workshop is suitable for young people aged 12 to 26. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The environment is inclusive and supportive, with provisions for sensory breaks if needed. Please arrive on time to enjoy the full experience.
