Step into the vibrant world of street art with the Street Artists Bench, a unique opportunity for young creatives to explore lettering, colour schemes, and stencil techniques. Guided by a special guest artist renowned for some of Melbourne’s most iconic street art, participants will gain hands-on experience and insider tips.
This engaging program is designed to inspire and develop basic street art skills, encouraging creativity and self-expression in a supportive environment. Snacks, drinks, and all necessary equipment are provided to ensure a comfortable and fun learning experience.
The sessions run weekly on Thursdays from 15:30 to 17:30, starting 12 February 2026 through to 2 April 2026, offering eight exciting workshops. Each session focuses on different aspects of street art, allowing participants to progressively build their skills and confidence.
Please note, this is an art-based activity and regular Youth Central activities may be paused during these sessions to focus on the workshop. Participants will have access to walls at the Youth Centre to practice their new skills in a real-world setting.
The event takes place at Broadmeadows Youth Central, located at 33-37 Pearcedale Parade, Broadmeadows, VIC 3047. The venue is accessible and welcoming, providing a safe space for young people to explore their creativity.
Parents can easily drop off and pick up their children at this central location. Public transport options and parking are available nearby, making it convenient for families in the area.
This program is free of charge and suitable for youth interested in street art and creative expression. It is recommended for school-aged children who are eager to learn and experiment with new artistic techniques.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for painting and creative activities. All materials and refreshments are supplied, so there is no need to bring additional items.
