Get ready for a fun and expressive art workshop where young people can unleash their creativity by customising clothes and accessories. Using acrylic pens and shimmering gold foil, participants will experiment with graffiti lettering, characters, symbols, slogans, and doodles to create unique wearable art. This is a fantastic opportunity for teens to make something loud, weird, funny, or completely their own.
No prior experience is needed, and all materials including tote bags and trucker hats are supplied. Participants are also welcome to bring their own fabric items like jackets, jeans, or shirts to transform.
This inclusive workshop warmly welcomes autistic, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ youth, as well as allies, creating a supportive and inspiring environment for all.
The workshop is led by designer Gary Bigeni, who will guide participants through the creative process. It runs during the school holidays, providing a perfect creative outlet for young people looking to try something new and exciting.
All materials are provided, so just bring your ideas and enthusiasm. The session encourages self-expression through street art styles and fashion customization.
This event is proudly funded by the NSW Government, ensuring it is free and accessible to the community.
