Discover a warm and friendly environment where knitters and crafters of all abilities come together to share their passion. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this group offers a relaxed and social setting to enjoy your craft. Bring your own knitting or crochet projects and supplies, and connect with others who love to create.
This group also knits and crochets for charity, adding a meaningful purpose to your crafting time. It's a wonderful way to unwind, make new friends, and contribute to the community.
The knitting group meets every Friday morning from 09:30 to 11:00. Sessions are informal and welcoming, encouraging participants to work on their own projects at their own pace. All ages and skill levels are invited, making it a perfect activity for parents looking for a creative outlet or a calm social gathering.
You can expect a supportive atmosphere where questions and sharing tips are encouraged. It’s a great opportunity to learn new techniques or simply enjoy some peaceful crafting time.
The group meets at Sylvania Library, a convenient and accessible venue with disabled access and parking available. The library is a community hub, making it easy to combine your visit with other library services or a quiet reading session.
Located in the heart of Sylvania, the library is easy to find and offers a welcoming space for all visitors. Public transport options are available nearby for those who prefer not to drive.
Please bring your own knitting or crochet supplies and projects to work on during the sessions. The group is informal, so there is no need to register in advance, just come along and join the fun.
The sessions run weekly on Fridays, so it’s a consistent opportunity to build your skills and friendships over time. The library will be closed during the Easter holiday period from 3 April to 6 April 2026, so sessions will not be held on those dates.
If you have any questions or need assistance, the library staff are happy to help during opening hours.
This is a free community event with no booking required. Simply arrive at the library on Friday mornings and join the group.
There are no costs involved, making it an accessible and enjoyable activity for families and individuals alike. Donations of yarn or supplies for charity projects are welcome but not mandatory.
