What to Expect

Activity Details
Classes run weekly on Mondays from June 29 to August 3, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. You can attend in person at Lionel Bowen Library, Maroubra, or join online via Zoom. In-person attendees receive the Zoom link two hours before each session, allowing flexible participation.
The course covers the eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin) and the flowing eighteen movements of Taiji Qigong Shibashi, performed multiple times to stimulate the body's meridian system. Benefits include stress reduction, improved circulation, increased strength, and overall wellbeing.
Bookings are essential and open from May 18, 2026, at 9:30 am. Registration is required only once to attend all sessions. Please note that missing three or more consecutive weeks without notice may result in forfeiting your booking.
Location and Access
The in-person sessions take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The venue is accessible and welcoming, with Covid-safe measures in place to ensure community health and safety.
Online participants will receive joining instructions via email, including Zoom links sent two hours and 15 minutes before each class. This hybrid format offers convenience and accessibility for all participants.
Library membership is required to attend but is free and easy to obtain online or at any branch, ensuring broad community access.
Important Information
Participants must choose between attending online or in person when booking, with no ticket type changes allowed after purchase unless cancellation and re-registration occur.
The event is not recorded; live attendance is required. Please arrive 10 minutes early for setup and to avoid late admittance.
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least one day before the event start date, minus Eventbrite fees. The ticket is non-transferable, and participants are asked to notify staff if unable to attend to allow others to participate.
