What to Expect
Experience the calming and restorative practice of Tai Chi with expert guidance from Qigong Master Simon Blow. This intermediate course focuses on enhancing posture, coordination, meditation, and relaxation through traditional Chinese techniques. Suitable for those continuing their Tai Chi journey, the classes offer a blend of physical healing and emotional balance.
You will explore Daoist cultivation techniques taught at Wudang Mountain, including the Wudang Longevity Qigong and Ba Duan Jin sequences. These movements stimulate different organs and meridians, promoting overall wellbeing.
Classes are delivered both in person at Lionel Bowen Library and online via Zoom, making it accessible for all participants regardless of location.
Activity Details
The course runs weekly on Mondays from June 29 to August 3, 2026, with sessions from 11:30 to 12:30. In-person attendees will also receive Zoom access in case they cannot attend physically.
Booking is essential and must be done once to cover all sessions. The in-person course costs $18 per term, while online participation is free.
Participants will learn gentle yet powerful movements that calm the mind, improve circulation, increase strength, and cleanse the body. The practice supports physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Location and Access
Classes are held at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra, with an option to join online via Zoom. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity; please contact them for any specific access needs.
Online participants will receive joining instructions and reminders via email. In-person attendees should arrive 10 minutes early to ensure a timely start.
Important Information
Bookings are managed through Eventbrite, and ticket types (online or in-person) must be selected at purchase. Changes to ticket type require cancellation and rebooking.
Participants missing three or more consecutive sessions without notice may lose their booking. Library membership is required but free.
Covid-19 safety measures apply for in-person attendance. The sessions will not be recorded or distributed; attendance is live only.
