What to Expect
Experience the gentle, flowing movements of Tai Chi designed for intermediate students looking to restore natural harmony in body and mind. This class focuses on the Chinese meridian system and the five elements, helping you improve posture, coordination, and relaxation. Whether attending in person or online, you will engage in exercises that cleanse the body of toxins and reduce stress.
Activity Details
Classes run weekly on Mondays from 2026-05-18 to 2026-06-01, 11:30 to 12:30. There is no session on 2026-04-27 due to a public holiday. The course covers movements related to the spleen, lungs, kidney, liver, and heart, promoting energy restoration and a positive state of wellbeing. Bookings are essential and you must choose between attending in person or online.
Location and Access
The in-person sessions are held at Lionel Bowen Library, 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. Online participants will join via Zoom, with links sent two hours before each session. The venue is accessible and inclusive, with support available for any access requirements upon request. Arrive 10 minutes early to allow for setup.
Important Information
Attendance requires library membership, which is free and available online or at any branch. Participants missing three or more consecutive sessions without notice may forfeit their booking. The event follows Covid-19 safety protocols and terms and conditions apply. Recordings are not permitted. Refunds are available if cancelled at least one day before the start date, minus fees.
Booking and Prices
In-person attendance costs $18 per term, while online participation is free. Tickets are non-transferable and must be purchased through Eventbrite. You only need to register once to attend all sessions. If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket promptly to allow others to join.
