What to Expect
Experience the gentle, flowing movements of Tai Chi that focus on improving posture, coordination, and relaxation. This intermediate class explores the Chinese meridian system and the five elements—Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, and Fire—offering a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
Participants will learn to regulate their energy, reduce stress, and enhance mobility through mindful practice. Whether attending in person or online, this class provides a supportive environment to restore harmony between mind, body, and spirit.
Suitable for those with some Tai Chi experience, this course encourages regular practice to cleanse the body of toxins and promote a positive state of wellbeing.
Activity Details
Classes run weekly on Mondays from 2026-06-01 to 2026-06-01, 11:30 to 12:30, with no session on 2026-04-27 due to a public holiday. The course is delivered both in person at Lionel Bowen Library, Maroubra, and online via Zoom.
You must register once to attend all sessions, choosing either online or in-person attendance. In-person attendees will receive the Zoom link before each class to join online if needed.
The class fee is $18 per term for in-person attendance, while online participation is free. Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
Location and Access
The in-person sessions take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The venue is accessible and welcoming, with staff ready to assist with any access requirements.
Online participants will join via Zoom, receiving joining details and reminders by email. This hybrid format ensures flexibility for busy parents and learners.

Important Information
Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for a timely start. Latecomers may not be admitted to maintain the session flow.
Participants must be library members, which is free and easy to arrange online or at any branch.
The event is subject to Covid-19 safety measures and terms and conditions, including booking policies and refund options. Recording or distributing the webinar is not permitted.
If you miss three or more consecutive sessions without notice, your booking may be forfeited.
Booking and Prices
Bookings are made through Eventbrite. When registering, select your attendance mode—online or in person—as changes cannot be made after purchase without cancellation and rebooking.
In-person attendance costs $18 per term, while online participation is free. Refunds are available for cancellations made at least one day before the event start date, minus Eventbrite fees.
