What to Expect

This workshop offers clear, jargon-free guidance on composition, lighting, selfies, and simple editing tricks to help you take beautiful photos. Whether for holidays or family gatherings, you’ll gain skills you can use immediately.
The session is led by Tanita, a friendly presenter who makes learning easy and enjoyable. Volunteers from the National Institute of Technology will be on hand to provide support and answer your questions in a welcoming environment.
This is a practical, hands-on experience involving some walking around the area to practice capturing images based on the teaching points, so a reasonable level of mobility is required.
Activity Details
The workshop runs from 10:30 to 12:30 on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. It is free to attend and suitable for all ages, including seniors. The focus is on helping you feel confident and in control when using technology, especially your smartphone camera.
You will learn to:

- Edit images simply and beautifully
This session is part of the Tech Made Simple social group, designed to improve digital skills in a supportive setting.
