Discover the joy of technology with our free Tech Savvy Seniors course, designed specifically for Mandarin-speaking seniors. This engaging program helps you connect with family and friends through computers and the internet, making digital life easier and more enjoyable.
Over three weeks, you'll learn practical skills such as taking and sharing photos, using helpful apps, and staying safe online. Each session builds your confidence and knowledge in a friendly, supportive environment.
Whether you're a beginner or want to improve your skills, these sessions are tailored to empower you with the digital tools you need today.
The course runs on three consecutive Wednesdays: 11th, 18th, and 25th November 2026, from 10:30 to 12:30. Each session focuses on a different topic:
- 11 November: Take, save and share great photos and videos
- 18 November: Apps that make life easier (MyGov, Services NSW and more!)
- 25 November: Stay safe online and avoid scams
Bookings are essential and open from October 2026. Please call to reserve your place.
All sessions are held at Riverwood Library and Knowledge Centre, located at 80 Kentucky Rd, Riverwood 2210. The library is accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming space for seniors to learn and explore technology.
Parking is available nearby, and the venue is equipped with facilities to ensure comfort during your learning experience.
This course is offered entirely in Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking seniors in the community. It is part of a partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra, aiming to bridge the digital divide.
Please ensure you book in advance as places are limited. Bring your own device if possible, but devices may be available on request.
The sessions are designed to be interactive and paced to suit beginners.
