What to Expect
Discover the vibrant rhythms and chants of Ghana in a lively and interactive workshop designed especially for young children. Guided by Ghanaian musician Yaw Derkyi, who brings over 40 years of experience, your little ones will engage in music, movement, and cultural storytelling.

Activity Details
The workshop runs over four Fridays: 12, 19, 26 February and 5 March 2027, from 10:30 to 11:30 in the morning. Each session lasts one hour, perfectly timed for preschoolers’ attention spans.
This activity is suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years, accompanied by a parent or carer. The cost is $15 per child and accompanying adult, making it an affordable cultural experience.
Facilitated by Yaw Derkyi, an expert in Ghanaian music and culture, the sessions will cover chanting, percussive rhythms, and their cultural significance, fostering both musical skills and cultural understanding.
