Immerse yourself in the exciting world of film-making with the indelarts Toowoomba Film Class held at the Empire Theatre. This inclusive workshop series is perfect for those aged 16 and above, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to enhance your skills. Guided by the acclaimed actor, writer, and director Shideh Faramand, participants will explore storytelling, cinematography, and acting to create their own short films.
This engaging class offers a hands-on experience where you will collaborate with fellow aspiring film-makers to bring your vision to life. Expect to learn essential film-making techniques in a supportive environment that welcomes neurodivergent and disabled artists. The course culminates in the production of your own short film, providing a fantastic opportunity to express your unique story.
The class runs every Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM starting 21 July 2026 through to 15 September 2026. It is open to participants aged 16 and over with no maximum age limit. No prior experience is necessary, and support workers or carers are welcome to join. Each lesson costs $30, or you can pay $270 for the full term plus a booking fee. Booking a trial class is required before enrolling for the term.
