What to Expect

Immerse yourself in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where creativity and textile arts come alive. Fabric Connections invites adults to explore memory, stories, and knowledge through playful textile techniques. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, this session offers a unique tactile experience to feed your hands and mind.

Guided by artist Linda Brescia, you can expect to engage in activities such as crochet, knitting, weaving, soft sculpture, embroidery, and sewing. Bring your own projects or start fresh with the materials provided.

Enjoy a cup of tea as you connect with others, share stories, and let your creativity flow in this nurturing space designed to help you put down your phone and pick up your needles.

Activity Details

Fabric Connections runs weekly on Tuesdays from 11:30 to 13:30, starting 2025-07-22 and ending 2025-09-09. Sessions are held at PHIVE, Level 3, located in the heart of Parramatta.

All materials are supplied, and Linda provides prompts, examples, and guidance throughout the session to inspire your textile journey. You can stay for the full two hours or drop in for as long as you like.

Please note that registration is required, with a maximum of two people per booking per session. Group bookings are not accepted at this time.

Location and Access

The sessions take place at PHIVE, Level 3, 5 Parramatta Square, Parramatta NSW 2150. PHIVE is a vibrant community, cultural, and civic hub centrally located in Parramatta’s CBD.

The venue is easily accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming environment with inspiring spaces for creative activities.

Important Information

This is a free program but requires prior registration to secure your spot. Only two participants can register per session to maintain a calm and friendly atmosphere.

Participants are welcome to bring their own textile projects or work on collaborative pieces during the sessions.

Please be advised that group bookings are currently not accepted, and all COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed to ensure a safe environment.

Attendance is free of charge, but registration is essential to participate. Bookings can be made by contacting the event organizers.

Materials are provided at no cost, making it easy to join without needing to bring anything unless you want to work on your own projects.

This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in creative textile arts without any financial commitment while enjoying expert guidance from Linda Brescia.
