Get ready for an exciting skateboarding adventure designed especially for young people aged 6 to 11, including those who need extra support or live with disability. These free sessions offer a fantastic chance to learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy some active outdoor fun in a safe and welcoming environment.
Each session is packed with opportunities to develop skateboarding skills at a comfortable pace. Whether your child is a beginner or looking to improve, they’ll be guided by supportive instructors. Expect a friendly atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to try new tricks and have fun.
Participants will meet new friends and gain confidence while enjoying fresh air and physical activity. It’s a wonderful way to keep kids engaged after school and foster a love for sport and movement.

The program is designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every child can participate comfortably and safely. Skateboards and safety gear may be available or you may be advised to bring your own.
The sessions take place at Niipu-niipu Wama (Morton Park), located on Morton Road, Christie Downs, 5164. This park offers a spacious and accessible environment perfect for skateboarding activities.
There is ample parking nearby and the location is easily reachable by local transport. Parents can relax knowing their children are in a safe, community-focused space.
Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for skateboarding. Helmets and protective gear are strongly recommended for safety.
Parents or guardians must supervise children before and after sessions. If your child has specific needs, please inform the organisers ahead of time to ensure the best support.
The sessions are free, but booking is essential to secure a place due to limited spots.
