Come along to our brand-new ukulele classes designed especially for kids aged 8-12 who are curious about learning a musical instrument. This free program offers a fun and engaging introduction to music, perfect for beginners eager to explore the bright, cheerful sounds of the ukulele.
Your child will enjoy learning basic musical skills in a supportive and friendly environment. The ukulele's simple design makes it easy to pick up, allowing students to play songs quickly and build confidence. Classes are led by our resident musical guru Tito, who brings enthusiasm and expertise to every session.
The program runs for six weeks on Thursdays, starting 6 August and ending 10 September 2026. Each session lasts one hour, from 16:00 to 17:00. All materials and equipment are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own ukulele if they have one. This course is suitable for children aged 8 to 12 years.
Classes take place at Oatley Library, located at 26 Letitia Street, Oatley. Parents or guardians must remain in the library for the duration of the program for participants aged 12 years and under. The venue is committed to accessibility and inclusive services; please contact the library for any support needs.
This program is currently sold out, but you can register to join the waitlist. Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may lose their place to standby participants. If you cannot attend, cancel your registration at least three hours before the event to avoid future booking restrictions. The library does not endorse any products used in the workshop.
