Discover the fascinating world of trees in this hands-on, interactive workshop designed especially for children aged 6 to 14. From the roots hidden underground to the leafy canopy above, participants will explore how every part of a tree supports the natural environment.
Children will learn about the connection between trees and soil, how trees nurture wildlife, clean the air, and strengthen local suburbs. This engaging session encourages curiosity and respect for nature.
The workshop covers topics such as tree anatomy, the soil food web, water and nutrient transport, leaf functions, tree care, and identifying common local tree species.
This workshop is part of the WA Tree Festival, a celebration of trees and their importance to communities across Western Australia. It is suitable for children aged 6 to 14, with adult supervision encouraged.
Participants will gain confidence and a lifelong appreciation for nature through interactive learning and exploration.
