Textales invites you to bring your vintage textile or related item and share the unique story behind it. Whether it’s a doll, a ‘Huswife’ sewing kit, a beaded item, or a hand-stitched bear, each piece holds a special connection to family, culture, or heritage.
Relax with a glass of bubbly as you listen to heartfelt stories from other participants, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all. The event encourages interaction, with opportunities to ask questions and engage with storytellers.
This is a wonderful chance to connect with others through shared history and treasured textiles, perfect for those who appreciate cultural heritage and personal narratives.
Textales is a small, intimate event limited to 15 participants who take turns telling their textile stories. Each storyteller has 6-8 minutes to introduce their item and share its significance.
The event is suitable for adults aged 18 and over who are comfortable participating as storytellers. Supporters of storytellers are welcome but must notify the organisers in advance.
Tickets include a glass of bubbly, tea, coffee, and nibbles, making for a relaxed and friendly gathering.
The event takes place at 1 Lobethal Rd, Lobethal SA 5241, Australia, within the Adelaide Hills Council region.
Parking is available at Fabrik, with a helpful diagram provided for attendees.
