What to Expect
Step into a calming space designed to help you slow down and breathe deeply as you explore the art of mandalas. Led by local artist Sue Norman, this workshop invites you to create 2–3 freehand mandalas using felt tips and coloured pencils. No previous art experience is needed—just bring your willingness to enjoy the creative process.
This session focuses on intuitive mark-making, colour, and pattern, offering a peaceful, unplugged environment to unwind and express yourself. It’s perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with their creativity in a relaxed setting.
Activity Details
The workshop runs for one hour and is part of the Unplugged at Partridge event, a digital detox initiative encouraging participants to slow down and connect more deeply with themselves and others. Alongside the mandala workshop, the event features makers’ markets, clothes swaps, repair cafés, live music, and inspiring guest speakers.
Participants will be guided gently through the creative process, focusing on the joy of making rather than the finished product. This makes it ideal for seniors and adults seeking a mindful, artistic experience.
Location and Access
The workshop will be held in the Garden Room at the rear of Partridge House, located off the courtyard at 38 Partridge Street, Glenelg SA, Australia. The venue is accessible and provides a quiet, welcoming atmosphere to fully enjoy the session.
