What to Expect
The Lab Rhodes offers a unique space where mature teenagers with autism can dive into technology and creativity. This club focuses on hands-on learning in areas like coding, gaming, digital design, and 3D printing, all while fostering social growth in a welcoming and supportive setting.

Parents are encouraged to stay nearby in the library, which provides workspaces and free WiFi, making it convenient and comfortable for families.
Activity Details
The Lab Rhodes runs on Thursday afternoons from 15:30 to 17:30 for nine weeks during the school term. It is designed specifically for participants aged 15 and older to best support their needs and interests.
The sessions take place at The Learning Space in Rhodes and cover a variety of technical and creative skills supported by professionals. The program encourages exploration and social interaction in a relaxed setting.
Photography and video may be taken during sessions for promotional use by the library and Council. Parents should notify staff if they prefer their child not to be filmed or photographed.

Important Information
This program is intended for young people aged 15 and above. For younger participants aged 10 to 15, The Lab Five Dock is recommended.
The Lab emphasizes a participant-driven approach, so there are no mandatory activities, allowing each young person to engage in what interests them most.
Parents should be aware of the potential for photos and videos to be taken during sessions and shared on social media and newsletters. Please inform staff if you do not consent.
Booking and Prices
The full term of nine weeks costs $419.40. Registration of interest is required via The Lab website at www.thelab.org.au.
After registering, families will be contacted with the next steps to secure a place in the program.
Early registration is encouraged due to limited spaces and the popularity of the program among local families.
