Experience a magical journey of friendship and discovery in "The Longest Nights," a captivating bilingual musical theatre performance blending Korean pansori storytelling with English subtitles. This Australian premiere enchants young audiences aged 7 and above with a tender tale of a white rhinoceros and an orphaned penguin on an epic quest to find the sea.
The performance is playful, funny, and deeply moving, featuring traditional Korean vocal storytelling accompanied by live drumming that brings the story vividly to life. The bilingual format offers a unique cultural experience, making it both educational and entertaining for families.
On Thursday 1 October, after the 6:30pm show, enjoy a special post-show artist talk where children can engage with the cast and creatives, learning about the inspiration behind the production.

The Studio is located in the north-western corner of the Sydney Opera House, accessible via the Western Foyers. The venue is pram accessible with lifts and pram parking available. The Opera House is a 7-10 minute walk from Circular Quay and easily reached by car, train, ferry, light rail, bus, bike, or on foot.
Parking is available at the Sydney Opera House Car Park with discounted options if booked ahead. Public transport options are convenient for families traveling with children.
- The performance includes bilingual surtitles in Korean and English for a complete cultural experience.
- Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- The venue is smoke-free and committed to child safety.
- Bags will be scanned for security, and cloaking facilities are available.
- Food and drinks can be purchased at theatre bars; bringing your own water bottle is allowed but no other outside food or drinks.
- Latecomers may be seated at suitable breaks to minimize disruption.
