Witness Australia's leading sand sculpting specialists, Sandstorm Events, craft a giant live sand sculpture inspired by Salisbury’s own St Kilda Playground. This impressive artwork stands 3 metres high and 4.8 metres wide, promising a captivating experience for the whole family.

Families can drop in to watch the sculpture take shape live during its construction phase and return later to admire the finished masterpiece on display. The exhibition is free and accessible during the Salisbury Community Hub's opening hours, making it a convenient and inspiring outing for locals and visitors alike.

Activity Details

The live sculpting will take place from Tuesday 13 January to Thursday 22 January 2026, allowing visitors to observe the expert sculptors at work. After completion, the sculpture will remain on display until Sunday 15 February 2026.

The exhibition is supported by themed school holiday programs designed to spark creativity and sensory engagement in children. All materials used in the sculpture meet approved safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for families.

Please note that some areas of the Salisbury Community Hub may be temporarily adjusted during installation, but library collections will remain accessible throughout.
