Step into the magic of Oz with Masquerade Youth Productions as they bring The Wizard of Oz – Youth Edition to life. This colourful 70-minute adaptation captures the wonder of the beloved classic, filled with laughter, heart-warming moments, and dazzling costumes. Perfect for audiences of all ages, the show features familiar songs and a spirit of fun that will leave everyone smiling.
Join Dorothy, Toto, and friends as they journey down the yellow brick road, facing the Wicked Witch and discovering courage, compassion, and friendship. This all-ages event promises a memorable experience for families looking to enjoy a theatrical treat during the school holidays.
Please note that the event may contain strobing lights and smoke/haze, so be mindful if your family members are sensitive to these effects.
The production runs for 70 minutes without an interval, making it an ideal length for children and families. There are four performances scheduled over two days:
- Friday 2 October: 11:00-12:15 and 17:00-18:15
- Saturday 3 October: 14:00-15:15 (Auslan interpreted) and 19:00-20:15
Ticket prices vary by seating area and age, with concessions and memberships available. Children under 4 years on lap are free.
The show takes place at Drum Theatre, located at the corner of Lonsdale and Walkers streets, Dandenong. The venue is accessible and offers assistance for those requiring additional support. The theatre is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm for enquiries and bookings.
This event is proudly supported by the City of Greater Dandenong Community Grants Program. Masquerade Youth Productions is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation with a strong community presence, recently recognised for outstanding contribution to the arts.

Tickets can be booked online with a $1.40 booking fee per ticket. Pricing tiers include:
