Outgrown but not outworn? This event invites families to bring clean, good condition children's clothes (0-7 years) to swap and take home fresh finds without spending a cent. There is no obligation to bring clothes in order to take items home, making it accessible for all.
Clothes will be organized by size on tables for easy browsing. Attendees are encouraged to bring only items they would gift to a friend, ensuring quality and respect for others. Please bring a reusable bag to carry your new pre-loved goodies.
Be mindful to take only what you will use and respect fellow attendees. Photography and videography may be conducted for promotional purposes.
The clothing drop-off period opens March 16 and closes April 10, with specific collection locations and hours provided for convenience. Large donations can be coordinated directly with the event team.
The swap event itself takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 09:00 to 11:00 at Guildford Town Hall. Walk-ins are welcome but registrations are encouraged to help with planning.
This initiative helps reduce textile waste by keeping outgrown clothes out of landfill and promotes sustainable living within the community.
The event is held at Guildford Town Hall, located at 97 - 99 James Street, Guildford. This central location is easily accessible for families in the area.
Drop-off locations for clothing donations include the City of Swan Administration building in Midland and Guildford Library, with detailed opening hours to fit busy schedules.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for parents to participate without hassle.
Only clean children’s clothing and shoes are accepted; linen and other items are excluded. Unsuitable items may be asked to be taken back.
Clothing and textiles cannot be placed in yellow lidded curbside recycling bins; alternative recycling options are suggested for items not fit for swapping.
Please adhere to the event’s respectful and sustainable ethos by bringing appropriate items and taking only what you need.
This is a free community event with no cost to participate. While walk-ins are welcome, registrations are encouraged to assist with event planning.
