Toddler Time is a delightful weekly event designed especially for little ones aged 12 months to 3 years. It’s a lively session filled with talking, singing, rhyming, dancing, and reading that encourages early childhood development in a joyful setting. Parents and carers can expect to share special moments cuddling their child over stories and shaking musical instruments together.
Older siblings are welcome to join, provided they bring a 'baby' doll or animal to help focus and engage alongside their younger family member. This creates a warm, inclusive environment where children can learn and play together.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet other local families, make new friends, and enjoy quality time with your toddler in a supportive community setting.
Toddler Time runs weekly on Fridays from 09:30 to 10:00, making it a perfect mid-morning outing for young children and their carers. The session is free and no bookings are required, so you can drop in whenever it suits your schedule.
The activities include singing, rhyming, dancing, and storytime, all tailored to engage toddlers and support their early learning and social skills. Musical instruments are used to add rhythm and fun, encouraging children to participate actively.
This event is part of the First 5 Forever initiative by the Queensland Government, coordinated by the State Library of Queensland in partnership with local councils, ensuring quality and educational content.
The event is held at Gatton Library, located at 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton QLD 4343. The library is easily accessible and provides a welcoming space for families with young children.
There is ample parking nearby and public transport options to reach the library. The venue is family-friendly with facilities to accommodate toddlers and their carers comfortably.
For directions or more information about the location, you can visit the My Community Directory website or contact the library directly.
Please note that while older siblings may attend, they should bring a baby doll or similar item to help them engage appropriately with the activities. This helps maintain focus and ensures a positive experience for all children.
Attendance at this event may be digitally recorded through photographs or video for promotional use by the Lockyer Valley Regional Council. If you do not wish your child’s image to be published, please inform the staff before the session begins.
This event supports early childhood development and encourages parent-child bonding through interactive play and learning.
Toddler Time is free to attend and no prior booking is necessary. You can simply arrive at the library on Fridays at 09:30 and join in the fun.
This makes it an accessible and convenient option for busy parents looking for enriching activities for their toddlers.
