What to Expect
Over four days spread across two to three weeks, you will learn foundational CAD skills using Autodesk Inventor. The course covers importing CAD models, generating toolpaths, selecting cutting tools, simulating manufacturing processes, and outputting G-code or M-code for CNC machines. You’ll connect with like-minded learners and industry experts, gaining formal recognition for your skills.
Activity Details
The training includes two nationally recognised units: MEM09022 – Create 2-D code files using computer-aided manufacturing system, and MEM09023 – Create 3-D code files using computer-aided manufacturing system. Prior completion of specific prerequisite units is required. Participants must bring their own PC laptops, as the software is incompatible with Apple Mac.

The sessions take place at TAFE Queensland, K Block Conference Room, 100 Bridge Street, East Toowoomba QLD 4350. The venue is accessible and well-equipped for this face-to-face training.
