Tutti Insieme is a warm and welcoming program designed to support older Italian people in maintaining their social connections within the local community. Participants can enjoy engaging activities and a friendly atmosphere that fosters companionship and cultural connection. The program includes a delightful morning tea, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and chat with new friends.
This community-focused event is ideal for seniors seeking meaningful social interaction and a chance to stay active in a supportive environment. It’s a wonderful way to feel connected and valued while celebrating Italian heritage.
The sessions run weekly on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 12:00, offering a consistent and reliable schedule for participants. The program is funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and requires a My Aged Care referral, with a nominal cost of $6 per session.
Bookings are essential to secure a place, and the Positive Ageing and Inclusion team is available to assist with registration and referral codes. This ensures that eligible seniors receive the support they need to participate fully.
The event takes place at the Cooinda Community Centre, a comfortable and accessible venue located within the City of Marion. The centre is equipped to welcome seniors with ease, providing a safe and friendly space for social gatherings.
Accessible parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for attendees to join the program. The community centre is well-known and centrally located, ensuring ease of access for local residents.
Due to the transition of CHSP services, the Positive Ageing and Inclusion team is currently not accepting new participants into their CHSP programs. Interested individuals should contact the team directly for the most up-to-date information.
Eligibility requires registration with My Aged Care and possession of a Social Support Referral Code and/or Meal Referral Code. The PAI team can assist with this process to ensure smooth access to the program.
Participants should be prepared for a friendly, culturally rich environment that values social connection and community support.
Bookings are required and can be made by calling (08) 8375 6649. The cost to attend is $6 per session, payable through a My Aged Care referral.
This affordable fee supports the continuation of quality programming and ensures that seniors receive subsidised services funded by the Commonwealth Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
Early booking is recommended due to limited availability and the popularity of the sessions.
