Each week features a fresh lineup of live bands playing a variety of music styles, alongside a rotating selection of food vendors to satisfy all tastes. Kids can enjoy free activities designed to keep them entertained while parents relax and soak up the lively ambiance.
Bring your picnic rugs, camping chairs, and even your four-legged family members to enjoy a relaxed and inclusive evening out in the beautiful Prospect Memorial Gardens.
Activity Details
The event runs every Friday in February 2026 from 17:30 to 21:00. Kids activities start at 17:30, followed by live music beginning at 18:30. There is a brief intermission at 19:30, with live music resuming at 20:00 until the event concludes at 21:00.
Entry is free, with a capacity limit of 2,000 people, so arriving early is recommended to secure your spot. The event is fully licensed, allowing attendees to bring their own alcohol in cans, wine bottles, and beer bottles, but spirits and casks of wine are not permitted.
Menzies Crescent will be closed between Willcox Avenue and Flora Terrace from 15:30 to 22:00 on event days, with temporary no parking zones and detours in place to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Location and Access
Twilight Sessions take place at Prospect Memorial Gardens, accessible via two entry and exit points on Menzies Crescent. The venue is an accessible public park with five accessible parking spaces on Willcox Avenue near Menzies Crescent.
There are permanent male, female, and ambulant toilets on site, plus an additional unisex accessible portable toilet for the event. The park is stroller and wheelchair friendly, making it easy for families with young children or mobility needs to attend.
Public transport options and local parking are available, but early arrival is encouraged due to limited parking and road closures during the event.
Important Information
The event is free and does not require tickets, but capacity is limited to 2,000 attendees. Security will conduct bag checks to ensure compliance with alcohol restrictions.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks within the permitted guidelines. In case of extreme weather, cancellations will be communicated via the Twilight Sessions Facebook event page.
Road closures and temporary no parking zones will be enforced around the venue to ensure safety and smooth traffic management. Please plan your journey accordingly.
