Experience the thrill of sailing and racing in a supportive and fun environment designed for kids aged 10 to 16. This program helps young sailors develop confidence, independence, and essential racing skills while enjoying the stunning Balmoral Bay.
Your child will sail Open Skiffs and ILCA Lasers, with club boats available to hire if needed. The sessions combine professional coaching, skill development, and club racing, making it an ideal bridge from beginner to lifelong sailor.
The program runs weekly on Thursdays from 16:00 to 18:00, starting on 2026-10-15. It is designed for children who have completed Tackers 2 or equivalent and are comfortable sailing independently. This 8-week course costs $400 and includes access to club boats and expert guidance.
Participants will also benefit from school holiday camps and a clear pathway into teenage and adult sailing, fostering a lifelong passion for the sport.
Sessions take place at Balmoral Sailing Club, located on The Esplanade, Mosman NSW. The club is volunteer-run and not-for-profit, reinvesting all revenue into boats, sails, equipment, and club activities.
