What to Expect
Step into a buzzing construction zone this April school holidays at Queensland Museum Cobb+Co. Children aged 3 to 12 will have the chance to transform ordinary boxes into extraordinary creations using safe assembly tools. From secret spy gadgets to wearable designs, young builders can bring their own ideas to life or take inspiration from prototypes.
This hands-on workshop encourages creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor skills in a fun, supportive environment. Kids will leave with their own inventions and a pack of screws to continue their creativity at home.
Activity Details
The sessions run daily from 7 to 17 April 2026, with three timeslots each day: 10:00, 11:30, and 13:00. Each workshop lasts approximately 90 minutes. All materials and tools are provided, and tools remain in the workshop for safety. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult, and all children require adult supervision.
A sensory friendly session is available on Wednesday 15 April at 13:00, designed with reduced sound for a calmer experience. This is ideal for children who may benefit from a quieter environment.
