What to Expect
Immerse yourself in nature and contribute to the restoration of Brisbane’s unique biodiversity by joining the Brighton Wetlands Bushcare Group. This is a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, meet like-minded people, and make a real difference in your local environment.
You don’t need any prior experience—just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Activities include managing environmental weeds, planting native species, creating habitats for wildlife, and participating in citizen science projects.
Whether you’re a teen, young adult, or senior, this group welcomes all ages and skill levels to connect with nature and stay active.
Activity Details
The group meets on the third Sunday of each month from 8:30 to 10:30 in the morning. Volunteers work together to maintain and improve the habitat at Goodenia Reserve.
Tasks may involve hands-on gardening, planting native flora, removing invasive species, and monitoring wildlife habitats. It’s a fulfilling way to learn new skills and contribute to environmental conservation.
Bring sturdy shoes, gloves, water, and a hat to stay comfortable while working outdoors.
