As a volunteer gallery attendant, you will assist the Curator by providing excellent customer service to visitors during business hours and Saturdays. Volunteering involves welcoming guests, sharing knowledge about the City of Whitehorse Art Collection, and supporting the smooth operation of the gallery. Volunteers receive briefings on exhibitions and contribute to creating a warm, informative environment. A clear National Criminal History Check is required to join the team.
The Artspace Gallery is situated inside the Box Hill Town Hall, a National Trust registered building located in the heart of Box Hill. The town hall is easily accessible and offers a rich cultural setting with its Art Deco Main Hall and meeting rooms. Public transport and parking options are available nearby for convenience.
Volunteers must be enthusiastic about art and local history and enjoy engaging with visitors. The role requires commitment during gallery hours, including Saturdays. The recruitment process includes a National Criminal History Check to ensure a safe environment for all.
