Activity Details
This engaging event runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, 9 April 2026, at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden. It is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years and offers a unique chance to connect with nature through interactive activities.
Participants will explore the diverse aquatic environments within the garden, learning about local wildlife and ecosystems. The bamboo water channel project encourages creativity and teamwork while teaching about native plants and sustainable water use.
The day is structured to balance educational content with plenty of active play, ensuring children remain engaged and energized throughout.
Location and Access
The event takes place at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, located at 420 Mona Vale Road, St Ives, NSW 2075. This stunning 123-hectare urban bushland is home to endangered ecological communities and threatened species, offering a rich natural backdrop for the activities.
The garden features a variety of walking tracks, picnic areas, and accessible facilities, making it a comfortable and inviting place for families. Parking is available onsite, and the venue is easily reachable by car from surrounding suburbs.
Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for outdoor exploration.
Important Information
Participants should bring swimming clothes or a change of clothes as getting wet is expected during the water games and activities. Sunscreen, hats, and water bottles are also recommended to stay protected and hydrated.
