This engaging workshop offers local landowners in the Upper Plenty area a valuable opportunity to learn about managing weeds effectively on their properties. It's designed to empower you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to protect your land and contribute to the local environment.
You will meet other local landowners and have the chance to bring along weed samples or photos for identification and advice. Experts from Council, Landcare, and TREC Land Services will be on hand to guide you through the process of creating a weed management plan tailored to your property.
The workshop begins with registration at 9:30 am, followed by the main session from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Morning tea will be provided, giving you a chance to network and discuss weed management strategies. The session covers your responsibilities as a landowner, practical weed control methods including blackberry and gorse, and expert assistance in drafting your management plan.
