Experience an engaging afternoon where children aged 8 to 12 connect with nature through fun, hands-on games and activities. This session introduces basic wilderness survival skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Children will learn to identify and gather natural materials used for fire preparation and enjoy making traditional damper, all without lighting a fire. The program is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster a lasting appreciation for the outdoors.
Delivered by experienced facilitators, this activity encourages children to explore nature safely while developing practical skills and a love for the environment.
This outdoor session runs on 15 July 2026 from 13:00 to 15:00. It is suitable for children aged 8 to 12 years, who must be accompanied by an adult.
The cost is $20 per child, and places are limited, so booking in advance via Eventbrite is essential. Cancellation decisions will be communicated by 8am on the day.
Participants should present their ticket at the information desk near the Garden's Education Centre upon arrival.
