Join a hands-on field day exploring the local landscape of Willowmavin as part of the Willowmavin Biolink project. This event is perfect for families and nature enthusiasts eager to learn about native plants and biodiversity. No prior plant knowledge is needed, making it accessible for all experience levels.
You will learn how to use the iNaturalist app to photograph and record plants, contributing to a citizen science project that helps document and track changes in the local environment over time. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and meet others interested in conservation.
Bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure as you wander through the Biolink landscape, discovering both native plants and weeds, and helping build a valuable record of the local biodiversity.
The event runs on Sunday, 27 September 2026, from 09:30 to 12:30. Participants will receive the exact address by email the evening before the event. The field day includes:
- Learning to use the iNaturalist app
- Exploring the local flora
- Contributing to a citizen science database
- Opportunities to share lunch by bringing a dish if you wish to stay longer
