What to Expect
Experience the magic of humpback whale migration from the stunning vantage point at Soldiers Point, Norah Head. This event offers an exciting opportunity for children and parents alike to learn about marine life through engaging talks and hands-on activities.
Presented by Margot Hislop, a passionate environmental educator, marine conservationist, and artist, the talks will inspire curiosity and respect for our ocean giants. Kids will also enjoy a creative whale craft activity, making the learning experience memorable and fun.

Activity Details
The program includes two whale talks on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, starting at 13:00 and 14:00 respectively. Each session lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, combining informative presentations with interactive craft time.
This free event is designed for families with school-aged children, providing a perfect blend of education and entertainment during the winter school holidays.
Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes suitable for outdoor viewing.
Location and Access
The talks take place at Soldiers Point, Tedd Rafferty Cycleway, Norah Head NSW 2263. This location offers excellent coastal views, ideal for spotting migrating whales.
Access is easy by car, with parking available nearby. The area is family-friendly and safe for children to explore under supervision.

Important Information
This is a free event but bookings are essential to secure your preferred timeslot. Please select either the 13:00 or 14:00 session when booking.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The event will proceed weather permitting; in case of cancellation, attendees will be notified via the contact email.
Remember to bring binoculars, warm clothing, and a sense of adventure to fully enjoy the experience.
