What to Expect
This empowering program is designed specifically for women from migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeker backgrounds who are interested in entrepreneurship. Over 10 weeks, participants will develop essential business skills, build confidence, and gain access to mentoring and support services. The project also offers valuable networking opportunities to connect with local business communities and employment pathways.
The sessions are interactive and supportive, encouraging participants to share experiences and learn collaboratively. Whether you are just starting out or looking to expand your existing business, this program provides tailored guidance to help you succeed.
Activity Details
The program runs weekly on Thursdays from 10:00 to 14:30, including a lunch break to relax and network with fellow participants. Each session focuses on different aspects of small business management, from planning and marketing to financial literacy and accessing resources.
This free initiative is delivered in partnership with Sisterworks and is hosted at the Fawkner Meeting Room, conveniently located next to the Fawkner Community Hall. The welcoming venue provides a comfortable environment conducive to learning and connection.
Location and Access
The sessions take place at Fawkner Meeting Room, 77 Jukes Rd, Fawkner. The venue is accessible by public transport and offers a friendly community atmosphere. Parking is available nearby for those driving.
