This engaging tour takes you on a journey through Boroondara's heart, starting at the historic Boroondara Cemetery and concluding at the Town Hall Gallery. Along the way, you'll hear stories of women who created community, rewrote laws, built movements, and refused to stay silent. Expect to learn about artists, musicians, activists, organisers, and everyday rebels who helped shape the area.
The tour runs on selected Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00, between September 11 and October 17, 2026. It is recommended for ages 13 and up, making it ideal for teenagers and adults interested in local history and women's contributions. Please note that capacity is limited, so booking in advance is advised.
The tour begins at Boroondara General Cemetery, located at 430 High St, Kew VIC 3101, and finishes at the Town Hall Gallery. Both locations are accessible by public transport and offer a scenic walk through the area’s historic sites.
