Step into a welcoming space designed exclusively for women, gender-non-conforming, trans, and non-binary gamers who want to share their passion for videogames. Each event starts with a live-streamed gameplay session hosted by Claire Osborn-Li, followed by an open discussion where you can share thoughts or simply listen in.
Whether you're a longtime gamer or just curious, this club offers a supportive community to geek out over new releases and old favorites alike. If conversation isn’t your thing, you’re welcome to engage quietly or chat online via Discord.
The club meets online monthly and in person quarterly, providing flexible ways to connect and celebrate gaming culture.
The online meetups occur on the second Wednesday of every month from 18:00 to 19:00, except January and December, via Discord. The in-person gatherings happen quarterly on Saturdays from 13:00 to 14:30 at ACMI, often featuring special guests and light catering.
Hosted by writer Claire Osborn-Li, these sessions blend gameplay commentary with community conversation, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for under-represented voices in gaming.
Participants are expected to adhere to a strict code of conduct ensuring harassment-free experiences for all attendees.
In-person events take place at ACMI, Federation Square, Melbourne/Naarm, a central and accessible cultural venue. Online meetups are hosted on Discord, allowing participation from anywhere.
To join, request an invite to the Discord server via the club’s webpage or social channels. ACMI is committed to accessibility and inclusivity, welcoming all eligible participants.
This club is exclusively for women, trans, gender-non-conforming, and non-binary individuals to create a safe space within the gaming community. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated, with clear enforcement policies in place.
The code of conduct covers verbal, physical, and digital behavior to maintain a respectful and welcoming atmosphere. Participants who violate these rules may be removed without refund.
For concerns or reports, contact the club team confidentially at gamerclub2@acmi.net.au.
Attendance to both online and in-person events is free. No advance booking is required for online sessions, but joining the Discord server is necessary to participate.
In-person events may require checking the ACMI website or social media for specific dates and any RSVP details. Light catering is provided at face-to-face meetups.
Enjoy a unique opportunity to connect with a vibrant community of gamers in a supportive and engaging environment.
