Dive into a creative workshop where children aged 8-12 will transform a simple sheet of card into a beautifully designed 4-page artist book. Janene will guide participants through the fun technique of artistic rubbing, also known as Frottage, using crayons and pencils to capture textures.
Kids will then cut their colorful rubbings into shapes like flowers, trees, and buildings to collage and compose their unique wonderbook. This hands-on activity encourages imagination and artistic expression, perfect for young beginners.
By the end, each child will have a stunning artist book to proudly share with family and friends or display at home.
This workshop is suitable for beginners with no prior book-making experience required. All materials are provided, including water and low or no sugar drinks to keep kids refreshed.
The session runs for two hours, from 13:00 to 15:00 on 8 July 2026. It is designed to be inclusive and fun, led by Janene, who has extensive experience teaching arts in the Adelaide Hills.
