Dive into a vibrant community event celebrating World Oceans Day at Bongin Bongin Bay. This free, family-friendly gathering invites ocean lovers of all kinds—from swimmers and snorkellers to artists and advocates—to connect with and protect our precious marine environment.
Experience a heartfelt Welcome to the Whales Ceremony that honors sea country and sets a respectful tone for the day. Witness a groundbreaking citizen-science scuba dive, marking the launch of long-term ecological data collection to support the 2027 Marine Sanctuary Zone.
On land, enjoy a curated Ocean Art Exhibition featuring stunning paintings and sculptures inspired by the ocean. Kids will love ocean-themed face painting and colouring activities, while live music keeps the atmosphere lively and engaging.
The event runs from 08:00 to 13:00 on Sunday, 7 June 2026, at Bongin Bongin Bay, located at the northern end of Mona Vale Beach. It is designed for all ages and interests, offering something for everyone who cherishes the ocean.
