Experience a unique gathering on Yugara Country at Aroona Farm, where you can meet others passionate about landcare, farming, and sustainability. Bring your snacks and enjoy engaging discussions on managing grazing, breeding herds, and biodiversity in a working cattle property.
This event offers a rare insight into how nature conservation and sustainable beef production coexist, showcasing a property with over 50 years of cattle farming and diverse native vegetation supporting conservation-significant wildlife.
Enjoy the chance to learn about protecting threatened species such as koalas, powerful owls, and glossy black-cockatoos, all while connecting with like-minded community members.
This is an on-farm event held on a working cattle property with a breeding herd of over 300 cattle managed using sustainable grazing practices. The event focuses on best management practices to maximize land condition for both environmental and economic benefits.
Participants will discuss topics including grazing management, herd breeding, and biodiversity conservation. The property honors the legacy of Dr Robin and Kathleen Stock, who donated it to the Queensland Trust for Nature in 2015.
Tea and coffee will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring a plate of morning tea to share. It’s a free event but bookings are required.
