Youth Take Over Nights offer a unique opportunity for young people to have the entire Glenroy Library to themselves on select Friday evenings. This event is designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where teens can hang out with friends, enjoy engaging activities, and indulge in plenty of delicious food.
These evenings are fully supervised by Merri-bek City Council staff, ensuring a secure space where parents can feel confident about their children's safety. The events are parent-free, allowing young people to enjoy their time independently.

The Youth Take Over Nights are scheduled on the following Fridays in 2026: March 6, May 1, June 5, August 7, September 4, and November 6. Each session runs from 18:00 to 20:00, giving participants two hours of fun and activities.
